Novartis Next Generation Scientist Global Summit
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to Novartis Next Generation Scientists (NGS) Global Summit.
We are proud to convene this scientific meeting of ALL the Novartis Next Generation Scientists (NGS) from the Basel program to coincide with the 2014 World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology.
At the time of our summit our global group of NGS fellows who have participated in an intensive 3 month internship at Novartis will comprise ~60 scientists and clinicians from ~4 continents and 17 countries whilst the 2014 program will be underway in Basel. Please review the Youtube videos of the 3 completed programs as a reminder of the scientists who have completed the program and their experiences.

The goals of the NGS Summit would be to:
- Progress individual and group projects to impact local healthcare
- Report-back on the professional and scientific impact of the NGS program
- Create and review scientific networks and research opportunities
We are especially thrilled to link this global summit with the World Conference, a decision motivated by the following reasons:-
- Pharmacology is a scientific discipline that comes closest to aligning all the work of the NGS fellows – hence allowing you to present your scientific contributions at this meeting.
- This event is a major meeting held every 4 years and attracts world leading scientific experts. The 2014 location in Africa provides a unique networking opportunity for all our fellows across the globe.
- Several NGS fellows are already involved with one of more satellite events for this conference.
