Prof. Yoshikatsu Kanai

Prof Kanai MD, PhD is Professor of Bio-system Pharmacology at the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University, a position he has held since 2007. Prior to this he was on the Pharmacology and Toxicology faculty at Kyorin University School of Medicine for fourteen years, first as Associate Professor and then Professor and Chairman of the department. Prof Kanai’s particular research interest lies in the molecular pharmacology of amino acid transporters and organic anion transporters and their applications to pharmacokinetics, pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapeutics. He has published a plethora of scientific articles and is a member of numerous global and local molecular and biochemistry pharmacology societies.
