Dr Ron Taylor

 

Dr. Ronald P. Taylor received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Princeton University. After postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota, he joined the faculty at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and was promoted to Professor of Biochemistry in 1983. For almost 25 years his laboratory has investigated monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and their applications in clinical medicine, with special emphasis on the role of complement and other immune effector functions in mAb-based immunotherapies of cancer. He has published 170 papers, including 8 patents, and serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including the Journal of Immunology.
